After a weekend consisting of a combination of sunshine and the smell of spring with thunderstorms and rain, The Ocean Party's latest release "Wading In" provided the perfect backing track. A song I listened to in both elements and it passed with top grades, oozing a subtle sadness with a hint of excitement for what lies ahead.
The laid-back poetic vocals of one of the five members, Zac Denton layered over breezy guitar riffs and sun kissed synths is completely aligned with the longing for spring/summer/a wave/a lover/the sun.
"Wading In" is the first release off the bands upcoming album that is currently without a title and one which I eagerly await! Do the time warp and revel in some of their old classics on Soundcloud.
