There were a few short messages I received lately, in which people say they really dig the whole post/math/instrumental posts flow on the website. I have to confess, it felt like a small victory inside of me. It really does make me incredibly happy when someone discovers the complex beauty of this music. I decided to screen quickly all the music I've curated in those folders and regardless of the fact that not all releases were exactly "recent", I do believe there are essential songs which need to be shared in this beloved sub-section. Looking back on all my Sunday posts, I think it would be wise to start #instrumentalsunday tradition.

If I haven't declared the utmost affection for the Japanese math titans Toe, I should do it. Immediately. Taken from their 2009 sophomore album For Long Tomorrow, "Two Moons" is an utter example of their superb musicianship. Essentially an acoustic track, what really surprised me in the track was the percussion section. The lullaby-like guitars in the start would usually be followed by minimalistic drumming, but not today. Hands down, Takashi (drums) knows what dynamics are all about. All the ghost notes on the snare are just like... heaven. I hope you find whatever you are looking for in this track, soaked in emotions.

ps: if you feel like digging more into their music, you may want to check my previous post about them.
