Mixtape

I will admit that "Mixtape" is an acquired taste, although for those like me who are into artists like Teebs, Baths, and the earlier works of Flylo, we're fascinated by this sound.

Surprises lurk in every corner on here as Varsity Start creates a listening experience with one hell of a compelling progression thanks to the array of glitchy fx. To be honest though, it was primarily this aesthetic paired with the utterly dreamy nature of the synths which swept me off my feet and transported me elsewhere.

There is a duality between the raw energy of the drums and the soft feeling of the synths that keeps you locked in, dancing yet day dreaming at the same time.
