HIATUS

It's no secret that I devour every track this man drops, and "HIATUS" absolutely shattered me. With the first word the London artist Wesley Jospeh spills out, you already know it's him because the soulful vocals and the sharp rapping can't be mistaken. His experimentation with every note of his music makes him stand out, and the groove there is perceived in colors - at least I can envision them.

The first verse is freestyle, and the beat is made in his bedroom just last year, where he remembered what it was like being an angry teenager. So, he channeled that fading feeling and put it into beautiful piano chords, heated guitars, and a clear message. "Hiatus" is the narrative and conclusion of growing pains, a teenager talking to his future self and his future self talking back," Wesley shares.
