"...racist gangs are not the biggest threat to society, silent racism is. The "living room prejudice". The anonymous online hatred. What better metaphor for cowardly ignorance then the KKK?" says Swedish singer XOV on his newest song, "Ku Klux Klan." It is his statement in fighting hatred, as he himself has experienced the effects of violent racism. At the young age of 13, the events that inspired this song occurred, when he was beat down "within an inch of [his] life" by a group of neo-Nazis. It is acts like these that inspired him to write the song. In this day and age, where it so easy to send an anonymous message online, we could all afford to take a lesson from XOV.
