Aussie 4-piece Rum Jungle blend the raw energy of alt and surf rock with the hazy nostalgia of dreampop and inject a healthy amount of youthful optimism into their music. All of that is a formula designed to make me love their music.

Excited to make their debut on Stereofox with their brand-new single, "The Elephants Head". The song takes its name from the legendary London pub on Camden High Street, where the band held an after-party following their headline show in the UK.

I love the main riff, especially when paired with the opening beep, sampled from an elevator somewhere in the UK. Another incidental sound picked up along the way, turned into the pulse that kicks off the track.

“We had no idea that a little riff would turn into this huge-sounding song or influence the direction of our songwriting tastes,” the band shares. “For us, the finished track feels like the culmination of a whole tour, told through the example of a single night.”

If you long for a lost-forgotten 90s feeling, this track is for you!
