So after a day well below average in the scale of arse - all I could think at 5pm in the face of a 2 hour drive home was thank God for Ziggy Alberts!

Self-prescribed as a "coastal folk songwriter", Ziggy's glorious album Land & Sea has been the backdrop of many a mediocre hour since it's release 12 months ago - nevermore so than today however.

I tend to keep the albums opening track "Days in the Sun" on repeat for at least the first 15 minutes or so & today was a perfect example of everything I love about this guy. The gentle acoustic guitar riff playing tug of war with the rain on my windscreen and the base pedal drowning out every bump and hump on the road (figuratively & literally) - these are the moments where I literally don't know what I'd do without music.

Thanks Ziggy - your music saved my sanity tonight (again).
