How can I describe I am Lightyear without using the word dreamy. I love this genre but for some reason I am getting close to physically ill every time I read dreamy synt pop. It feels like someone dips me in a pool of melted caramel, sprinkles chocolate chips on me and stuffs my mouth with baklava. Regardless of what I wrote I am Lightyear is nothing like that. You cannot possibly get diabetes by listening to Lauren Zettler's songs although her voice is pretty sweet.
Let me try with the following 3 band equation : Coldplay + Imogen Heap + Owl City. I am really digging this amalgam. Her voice is tender and the melody is very playful. Those 5 tracks go so fast and I found myself listening to the album few times in a row.
p.s Perhaps you could come with 3 totally different names to compare her to so please suggest similar artists that I can listen to. Cheers.
