Yep, it is that time of the month! Time to talk about some interesting album releases in May 2013!
MS MR - Secondhand Rapture
Genre: synth pop
Release date: 14th of May
The electronic duo has been killing it in any possible way. Saying that their EP released last year was well accepted would be the understatement of the year. They also had a track featured on the trailer for the "Game of Thrones" series, which apparently everyone besides me is watching. I remember when Peter shared "Hurricane" last year, I didn't listen to anything else for days. That's pretty bad for someone who is supposed to be finding new music.
She & Him - Volume 3
Genre: indie pop
Release date: 7th of May
If you want to travel back to times when people seemed more classy and love pure, the new album by She (Zooey Deschanel) & Him (M. Ward) might be a good substitute for a time travel machine. The two released tracks so far sound like taken from an old romantic movie from the early 80's. The type of movie where boys and girls used to go to those car cinemas. Volume 3 will definitely bring something interesting and different to my music library!
Tricky - False Idols
Genre: triphop
Release date: 28th of May
That album would be definitely something to look up to! I remember I was really into his debut album Maxinquaye long, long time ago, but sadly ever since I kind of lost track of his works. However, the first track he released from False Idols featuring Francesca Belmonte is simply wonderful and definitely sparkles some interesting expectations!
The National - Trouble Will Find Me
Genre: alternative rock
Release date: 21st of May
After releasing the "Demons", the first official track from Trouble Will Find Me, I was a bit skeptic whether they would meet the high expectations after the success of their previous album. A week later, I was proven wrong by the track you can listen below. On top of that, there is information that Their sixth album will include contributions by Sufjan Stevens and Arcate Fire!
Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires Of The City
Genre: indie pop/rock
Release date: 13th of May
I guess, there is no need for introduction of the guys from Vampire Weekend. I mean who hasn't danced drunk on their "A punk" tune. Right? ...Right? *looks down* Anyhow, their new album is coming in just a few weeks. Frankly said, I am not their biggest fan and most probably will just quickly listen through the release, but I think its a record many people might enjoy. So far they released two songs - "Step" and "Diane Young" and things don't seem bad at all.
Stay up to date.
