Now here is an album that looks exactly like how it sounds, and completely delivers on its visual promise. Even tho a new release, the references are familiar: 90s nostalgia, summertime road trips, reverb galore. Something about the handwritten cursive text also seems to come straight out of this youthful shoegaze era, like a daydreaming teenager's collaged diary entry. The familiarity is inviting and fulfilling if the listener is craving layers of breathy, blissful female vocals and aspirational, cinematic background instrumentals.

The nature photos layer and dissolve into each other, swirling in a mix of saturated pop colors filtered through a hazy film of vintage textures; it captures a still of the similarly fluid, ethereal album sound. It's not a complicated album, or trying to stand out so much from everything else out there, and maybe that's ok. Sometimes sounding pretty and looking pretty is refreshing in its own right, and this album design and sound serves to simply pleasure the senses, getting straight to the point of music that's there to make you feel good. Enjoy Still Corners!
