Crystal Fighters is definitely one of all-time favourites of thousands of people. Their unique British/Spanish combination makes the music so energetic and appealing. Their music is a fusion of electronica, spanish folk, dub, heavy beats, so many little things that should never work together, but they magically do. There is a little legend about how the band was formed: one of the vocalists found her grandfather's dairy (he was a Basque and had a mental disorder) and among the recipes of the traditional food/Basque life descriptions she found an unfinished opera, which was called "Crystal Fighters". She took it as a sign. I am not sure if that is real or even slightly trustworthy, but it definitely spices things up.

During their life performances the band seems to have as much fun as the audience, and as someone in the crowd, that is one of the best things you can ask for. Our photographer Jaime Massieu caught them in Madrid and you can check out his photo impressions of the gig below. Concert organized by SON Estrella Galicia.
