"I Miss You Most of All" is the latest single that comes off Jay-Jay Johanson’s album Cockroach - perhaps one of the most underrated or rather unnoticed indie releases of 2013. For the fans of the Swedish crooner, who through the years found better soil for his music in France, Turkey and Russia, both the song and the album are not surprising stylistically speaking, although they're not entirely predictable too. Johanson treats us with his usual for his last few releases, albeit somehow different every time genre bending mix of film noir arrangements, trip hop nostalgia trips and singer-songwriterish melancholia.

In "I Miss You Most of All" he stays true to the smooth and melancholic nature of his music, which is pretty much evident even from the title of the single, which follows another pattern of Jay-Jay Johanson's – his romantic, doomed and sometimes enjoyably odd lyrics (“The chain around your neck will strangle you soon/All that you still conceal/The gum that you chew will suffocate you / Secrets you should reveal”). The video to the track is now online:
