Ex-Portico Quartet member and BBC Sound of 2014 runner up Nick Mulvey has become something of a mega star without actually being known to the masses. He's gained some serious ground in the last year, that's for sure, having been championed by the likes of Zane Lowe on his hottest record of the year search.

Now Nick has released his video for latest track Cucurucu, and it's everything we love about him. Softly sung vocals wrapped around the delicate acoustic guitar which slowly builds with drums and a gorgeous string section. The video itself was on Nihiwatu beach in Indonesia by Nick's friend and National Geographic director James Morgan. Mulvey says of the video, "I felt this song needed a video with wide expanses. Space to wonder. I didn't have to look too far for the right film maker - James is a friend of mine, and I've loved his work for National Geographic. I knew he'd understand what I was after and have something special in his vaults…"

This track and video come ahead of Nick's UK tour in set to start March 3rd in Birmingham, so check out the dates here. I saw him on his last tour with our favourite RHODES and can say he is well worth seeing live.

Stay up to date.
