REDD's for Real Emotion Depicted Directly which you'd agree is pinpointed accurately after you watch this video. On genre I first read "real-hiphop" and I thought this was a bit cocky to write, then my eyes corrected me- "rap-hiphop". What's real and what's real music is strictly personal and subjective therefore I have no desire to give definition(s).
I think I read it real because of the way the three musicians in the video perform. With open hearts, passion for music and strong desire to express themselves through this medium. And look at how simple and beautiful this video is shot. An acoustic hip-hop session that I have been listening to for a few days now that inspires to be. I will end with 2 lines of the lyrics :
