Comprised of Finnish singer Olivia Merilahti and French musician Dan Levy, The Dø is yet another former indie-folk band to step out of the country barn, discover electricity, and burn down the acoustic guitar and maracas. Interestingly enough they sound as if they've been plugged-in for ages.
"Miracles (Back In Time)" is the second peek to their forthcoming album (after "Keep Your Lips Sealed") to brilliantly display their major electronic evolution. Layers over layers of synth embed Merilahti's sweet high voice, while multiplied vocals, contemporary wall-of-sound effects and organ patches create an abundant and colorful soundscape.
Their third LP Shake Shook Shaken is expected to hit stores in late September. The duo has also released a (slightly confusing) trailer for Miracles - a short film, inspired by the upcoming album.
