In times when good acoustic music seems like a distant island in a sea of random crap, there's this one album which would always be my personal life-vest. Ben Howard's Every Kingdom will turn 3 years this September, but I felt it should be dag out... or at least a track of it.
So much honesty and purity in these songs. I've had the chance of seeing them live 3 times and it always has been one of those profound experiences which exhales life and passion for music. One of those a-ha moments when the only thing that actually exists is your channels of perception and the sounds/images being created in front of you.
Music is truly magnificent invention, if one can argue it's an invention. It will help dissolve your perplexities and purify your character and sensibilities, and in time of care and sorrow, will keep a fountain of joy alive in you.
