Lorely Rodriguez aka Empress Of quietly burst onto the scene back in 2012 with "Colorminutes", a fascinating series of 1 minute-long demos that made a big impression on the blog world.

Since then we’ve been treated to her debut single "Champange", along with her 2013 bilingual 4-track EP, "Systems". She's been fairly quiet since, however, last month Empress Of returned with "Water Water, the lead song off her debut album, Me.

The New York-based artist continues to tease with the release of "Kitty Kat," a thumping electro infused pop song.

The album was written during a 5-week trip to Valle de Bravo, Mexico, and it was recorded, engineered and produced entirely by Lorely over the course of 2014.

As we’ve come to expect from Lorely, her new work is a further exploration of the darkened world of experimental leftfield pop.

Stay up to date.
