Her debut single earlier this year introduced Jorja Smith as an intriguing newcomer.

On Smith's latest song her unique approach to music sees her sampling Henry Purcell’s “A Prince of Glorious Race Descended,” a song written for the Duke of Gloucester’s sixth birthday in 1695.

Produced by Seemore and featuring the raspy tones of rapper Maverick Sabre, the sample is looped and pitched down making “A Prince” brim with a moody and dark atmosphere.

Emotive and haunting Jorja’s vocals stand loud and proud as she sings frankly on what she's learnt from others about love and relationships, but acutely comparing these relationships to fairy tales.

A lot of early promise is being displayed by Smith – we expect to hear a lot more from this lady.
