This flip of "I Keep Forgetting" by Procol Harum gives us a taste of what Artifakts brings to the electronic hiphop playing field.  Having been following Artifakts for some time, it is a wonder why I am only now just featuring him.

This track encapsulates the power of sample-based electronic beat-making. Artifakts reveals an entirely different possibility by flipping the original track on its head with the certified phatness. From my perspective, the choice of instrumental sampling met with with rhythmical layering make it well worth the listen.

If you're into it, I would definitely recommend some of the beat collections that Artifakts has put together, like this one:

Definitely keep an eye on Artifakts as he makes some serious moves, including a spot on the Pretty Lights Live Tour in October.  Originally representing the Philos Records label, Artifakts has shared the stage with established artists like GRiZ as well as up and coming ones we've featured in our minimix series, like Daily Bread and Derlee.
