Boy Names are a band out of South London and have managed to impress me both in and outside of the music world. They have a pretty sweet sense of humor, as evidenced by their Tumblr info ("touted as the “next big thing” (Autotrader)") and various tweets that, at the very least, made me laugh. Their music is just as, if not more, impressive than their hilarity.
Reminiscent of Ra Ra Riot, their slick instrumentation and and silky smooth and scintillating vocals combine to create a satisfying sundae of a song, entitled "Hey There Sailor". The song is a refreshing piece of indie pop sure to please the palate of any music lover. "Hey There Sailor" radiates sunshine more brightly than the actual sun itself, with its upbeat synths and vocals that fly higher than a kite. It is definitely a track to keep on replay, so you can soak up the shimmering sounds while you take in those beautiful rays.
