Childish Gambino has been a little quiet recently. But hell, I can't hold it against Donald Glover, the guy seems to have a finger in every pie going. Community, 30 Rock and Adventure Time (!) are just a few of the projects he's been contributing too over the last couple of years.
But new track “Centipede” hasn't come as a complete surprise. Childish Gambino has been featuring on just about anyone who's anyone's mixtapes and albums almost relentlessly, so there's been a whiff of something coming for a little while. And now here we are!
Almost 6 minutes long and comprising of freestyle scats, movie sound bites, extended slow jam soundscapes, and the occasional rap too, here's hoping that “Centipede” is going to be the tip of the iceberg of new song's by CG. Much more subdued that the kind of songs on Camp, it'll be interesting to see which direction the new tracks are headed in. All we know for now is that "Centipede" is available as a free download from soundcloud.
