Dan Croll. The man who bought us the uber catchy electro- pop tunes, 'From Nowhere', 'Compliment Your Soul' and 'In/Out' has a new track. And it's something a little different.
Now, arguably 'Compliment Your Soul' showed a more stripped back and acoustic side of Dan, but we'd yet to hear something that purely embraced a more folksy sound. Enter 'Home'. Swathes of Fleet Foxes and Elliot Smith wash over this tune with it's plucked acoustic and stacked vocals, all the while, still maintaining Dan's lively and distinct sound. I find it very difficult to pin down Dan Croll since every release has a very unique identity, but I can't wait to see how he ties it all together come album time.
