Thursday shenanigans, thanks to Australian/South Korean artist Munan and his playful new psychedelic single called "23". Imagine a kid raised by Tame Impala, Toro y Moi, and Mac DeMarco, and that's exactly what the tune sounds like. A pure
alternative-pop, indie-rock, and psych-pop extravaganza, and needless to say, I'm all in!

Written at 33, the song feels like a moment of looking in the rearview mirror while trying to figure out what's around the next corner. After ten years of chasing a career in music, the artist finds himself at a crossroads, caught somewhere between the dreams that brought him here and the uncertainty of what lies ahead. Family starts asking questions, friends settle into different chapters of their lives, and suddenly the road doesn't seem quite as clear as it once did. It's an honest, relatable snapshot of growing up and figuring things out along the way.

"I could say this song started this whole journey. I wrote this when I turned 33 last year. The lyrics reflect my own life as a musician of 10 years. I’ve come to that stage in life where family starts to worry, and friends have all grown up, matured, and moved on," Munan elaborates. Given I turn 39 next week, this hits hard.
