Today, we're charging our energy thanks to the brand-new dreamdvst single "Mirage", freshly dropped on our label.
The creative child of ymprl and Victor Aithen, this new moniker will channel their exploration of the intimate lo-fi electronic sonic space, crafting a cohesive body of work designed for late nights, slow mornings, and everything in between. "Mirage" will be part of Daydreaming II, the follow-up to their 2023 debut, which absolutely killed it across platforms. Easily one of my favourite electronic releases to this day.
However, let's live today. What I love the most about "Mirage" is its duality. The song opens with these tight, punchy synth stabs, leaning into the tech/minimal house space but with a slightly off-center, alternative club feel. Then comes my favourite switch at 1:14, and that's the moment. When the guys introduce that vocal sample, then it's instant power-up goosebumps for me. A pure bliss moment!
