On emawk's gorgeous new release, "Wildflower", glossy pianos cascade across the mix, creating such an elegant approach to chillhop that sounds quite sophisticated.
emawk is one of the artists we've been featuring since 2018, and have heard how his sonic range has developed over the years. What I loved about "Wildflower" is that it's incredibly musical - the guitars are soulful, the piano arrangements are next level, and the bass patterns are subtly impactful throughout. The organs floating in the background add a dreamy touch to the experience as the drums anchor the arrangement, giving each of the track's musical elements room to shine. This is definitely one of my fave chillhop discoveries this week!
