A glorious day for everyone who loves abstract ambient-inspired music. Today, we celebrate Emily A. Sprague's full-length studio album Cyano, which I first spotlighted last month with "Noon Liquid Ore".
A lush and mind-healing discovery thanks to our friend Stephan Kunze on his zensounds platform, Emily's music is nothing short of soothing. On this wonderful 14-track release, the synthesist and composer imagines a distant planet where its inhabitants are relearning how to express, connect, and feel. Built intuitively with modular synths and voice, it feels like one endless dreamy meditation.
I picked "Rising" because it instantly resonated with me. A blend of glitchy abstractness and fluid electronica.
