"Terrible Times" is one of those tracks that are evidently brilliant beyond question, regardless of ones's interest in folk/singer-songwriter tunes or not.
The track begins in a manner that is rather mellow with its gentle strums and inconspicuous drums. This gives us time to take in the important message Foreign Fields is communicating through their lofty vocals. It's towards the end where "Terrible Times" morphs into something more cinematic with the arrival of these large strings and a higher vocal register.
It's quite important to keep a close ear to the lyrics as they share concerns as to what's been happening to the world and how we'll make it out just fine. The music video for the track can be found below.
