Future Islands have been around for quite a while now, releasing their first full length in 2008. This is from their latest, The Far Field, and boasts their signature brand of majestic synth pop. This is ace music for running or even riding a train late at night, accompanied by melancholy and street lights. It's uptempo and all but the lyrics are no doubt about heartbreak.

"And what’s a song without you?
When every song I write is about you
When I can’t hold myself without you
And I can’t change the day I found you"

It's simply put a great song from a great album, from a band who manages to stay true to themselves while running (pun slightly intended) through life, loss and redemption.
