Been ages, since I've dag around for acoustic music, but stumbling upon Galen Clark's "Cocoon" felt like blessing. Gentle, intimate and soothing.
Galen Wallace Clark is an American songwriter, musician, producer, and audio engineer and clearly madly talented. Born in Riverside, California from an Air Force family, the 23-years old has been in the scene for quite some time. Having played in more than a few bands and releasing solo material under the name Wallace, it's mental to see how much creativity is pouring out from this young artist.
If you dig acts like Nick Drake, Fleet Foxes, Andrew Bird or Gregory Alan Isokov, Galen's art should definitely be on your radar as he brings new perspective on contemporary songwriting steeped in experiences of hope, adventure, irony, nostalgia, and the beauty of life.
