If you haven't got it until now, the quickest way to my heart are trumpets.

Especially when blended with a hip hop beat & soulful touches, they can literally melt my heart. "Make It Happen" by Dutch rapper Gus Walker is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

Aside of the aforementioned gorgeous brass (thanks to trumpeter Lauran Neerincx), you'll enjoy a delightful groove with just a touch of reggae (producer Boudewijn Pleij's signature style), and conscious lyricism, fine-balancing between punchy rapping & warm singing. I'd like to think he'd be the next blackwave.

With "Make It Happen", as you can guess from the title, Gus calls to people to take action and, if needed, to get their hands dirty. A truly uplifting song.
