Yet another goodie from down under: Huntly. "We Made It" is a sexy little gem that I found in my inbox the other day.
Huntly is a Melbourne trio creating something very unique in their music - "their own brand of emotional rave music - bridging modern R&B, murky pop and lo-fi soul within the borders of Melbourne’s music scenes." Does that sound awesome or what?
"We Made It" is a sleek hypnotic combination of R&B, two-step and god knows what else. The build up is absolutely insane and comes when you sort of least expect it and gets you raving. Please keep a close listen at how they manipulate the vocals - it's pure genius. The track is so beautifully weird, emotional and fascinating that I replayed it probably a hundred times. "We Made It" sets the bar really high for all their future releases, and somehow I feel we won't be disappointed. Definitely someone to keep an eye on in 2016. The bands's debut EP, Feel Better Or Stop Trying, will be released this coming May.
