An absolute legend in the beat world, Ian Ewing returns with some of his best work to date. A track from an upcoming project with Radio Juicy, "Coreopsis" is today's reason to keep falling in love with chillhop. As long as there are artists like Ian out there, I won't lose hope in the genre.
The beat dwells in the futuristic, yet warm space of instrumental hip hop. Its glowing chords and organic textures bring this very special and calm sunlit energy, which I certainly needed in my life. I love the wobbly interplay between synth and brass that he introduced mid-track. Lush af.
