We had the chance to witness the set of Parisian downtempo duo il:lo at a music co-working space in the thick of Berlin's Alt-Treptow neighborhood last weekend. These two took us by hand into a forest of reflection with live sample pads and keyboards opening us up to an evening of groove along with French beatmakers Mounika and Kognitif.

They laid down a diverse set from trip-hop to house to more bass-heavy flavors infused with electronic and instrumental elements leaving a unique mark on the evening's flavors of music.

"Jhana" is off of their 2017 release Vega packing tasteful harmonies, string samples, and a precisely-crafted beat structure to take use down the path of daydreaming. Like their set in Berlin, you can gather various impressions from Vega with a wide inventory of instrumentals and delightfully melodic ambience:
