"Santa Monica" is a wonderful laid-back mix of pop and indie that really resonates with me. With an immensely catchy chorus, don’t be surprised if you're singing along after a few plays.
The London-based singer and multi-instrumentalist explained the idea behind the track in an email:
"Santa Monica is a love song written for somebody on the other side of the planet. It begins with intimacy, closeness and affection before admitting that Santa Monica is a pretty long way off. It’s dreamy but determined and builds upon itself from a point of initial longing and wistfulness."
The song is from Berry's upcoming EP titled Tenderness which is due for release on the 20th April. Enjoy!
