Here's one damn good example of why jazz & hip-hop beats belong together.

Cologne producer Jakspin (whom we've featured back in 2018) recently shared "Heathkit 8", an utterly cozy & slightly nostalgic tune fusing delightful jazzy piano, tastefully raw drums & subtle horns. If you've wondered what the title means, Jakspin shares, "This track pays homage to the Heathkit H8 computer, one of the earliest personal computers from the 1970s."

This is the 2nd single single from his upcoming album Echoes of Yesterday - "a musical archive exploring technologies that once embodied the future before fading into obscurity."
