Innovative r&b with mellow edges, jazz influences, pop, and hip hop filters. That's the music of Joya Mooi in a nutshell but of course, it goes way deeper than that. In September of 2022, she released Side A of her album What's Around the Corner, and "Tears" is a delicious bite off the full project that will come out on January 20th.
The Amsterdam singer wants to express her vulnerability with the track, which she says "is about the feeling that comes to you when you finally lean into life, let go, and let the rain fall." With rich songs like "Tears," we can embrace even the hardest of pains and struggles that come our way because sometimes you don't have to be angry with life. Just live it - nothing bad is forever after all.
