Listening to Kreatev's "180sx" feels like stepping into 2018, when releases from Soulection and Complexion's TFBS were shaping the future beats landscape.
Kreatev is an Atlanta-based producer who has also resided in Los Angeles for some time - this bicoastal relationship has had a tremendous influence on his current sonic aesthetic, and we can hear that. "180sx" is part of a 5-track EP titled Warm Summer Nights, and as one of the lead singles, this release offers an uplifting bounce and a colorful range of melodic layers from start to finish. What makes the experience so groovy is the delicious bass line, creating a tight interplay with the slick drums that makes it difficult to sit still as the listener.
