"Crisp" instantly won me over with its hazy, atmospheric intro before unfolding into a groovy jazzhop beat filled with shimmering textures and catchy melodies. Such a great track to sink into and nod your head to at home, in the car, on headphones, on a picnic blanket somewhere sunny, just anywhere.

Kristoffer Eikrem is a beatmaker, trumpet player, and EWI player based in Oslo, Norway, crafting warm soundscapes that blend acoustic and electronic elements, lush chords, lyrical melodies, and expressive improvisation. This was actually my first time coming across his music, and after recently discovering fellow Oslo producer Bård Berg and his Oslo Beats series too, I gotta say I’m becoming a real fan of the Norwegian jazz and beats scene.

On the other side of the collaboration is Chicago-based artist, composer, and 2x Grammy-nominated producer RMB Justize, whose soulful approach to hip-hop production adds even more warmth and texture to the track.

Judging by how naturally these two click together on "Crisp", I’m very curious to hear their full EP Searching, dropping May 22nd. Definitely one to keep an eye out for!
