Laster throws a blend of New York style jazz hip-hop beats over the accapella of "How Do You Want It" by 2pac in "Makaveli". Using his own instrumental perspective, including spacey chords and good-natured basslines and electric guitar, Laster effectively brings remants of two distinct cultures of hip hop from the 90s into one remix in the year 2017.
The 21 year-old producer based out of Toulouse, France is also breaking into new territory under his project Selecta shared with fellow Toulousain producer WalAss. In this realm, they produce a disco-influenced sound native to their home nation worth giving a listen to. Check out Ivo's feature of Selecta's debut project entitled "Vice".
