Leebo Freeman is certainly one of my favourite artists I’ve come across this past month. The England native holds an edgy image which screams rock star and he introduces a garden-fresh sound with some of his latest releases.
One of those gems includes the track ‘Dipped in Clouds’, a psych-pop track decorated with atmospheric textures and a dreamy sense of nostalgia. I urge listeners to not get carried away by the chromatic production, but to also pay attention to the lyrics. Ultimately Leebo highlights social media’s role in creating a filtered reality which has the potential to make addicts out of us. If you’re into the sounds of Washed Out and early Toro Y Moi, you’ll certainly love this.
