After I completely fell in love with the weird, yet genius music of Hiatus Kaiyote, here’s another gem from Australia.
Leisure Suite, a duo from Melbourne, recently dropped a new single, “Shut Down”. A great beat combined with the mellowness of Brigette Le’s voice - just the right mixture to close your eyes and shut down.
I loved them ever since their Leisure Suite EP from 2014. And it is great news they continued doing what they love. I must say, their style is quite recognizable, some might call it R&B-electro-pop, but as Leisure Suite say in an interview for Pilerats:
“Even though our music would fall under electronic, we like to say we’re more soul than anything else.”
And you can indeed feel the soulful touch into it.
