There are songs (and vocals) that simply melt your heart.

This is exactly the case with our dear, London-based singer & songwriter, Lina Nikol, and her new single "I Don't Mind", out on Stereofox today. The smoother-than-silk slow burner blends influences from '00s r&b and neo-soul, with subtle guitar licks, strings, and heartbeat-like production, thanks to her frequent collaborator Baker Aaron (who's also worked with ENNY, Kota the Friend, and Kojey Radical).

Written from the perspective of someone who has loved enough to know the cost of going “all-in”, the song explores the fine (and, let's be real, nearly impossible) balance of that powerful feeling you get when you’re falling in love with the fear that comes from past mistakes.

"This song is about feeling everything at once and still choosing your words carefully. It’s that moment when you want to let someone all the way in, but something in you holds back – not because the feeling isn’t real, but because you’ve learned to protect yourself. So instead, you say it softly, almost casually. Sometimes the most honest thing you can do is hold a little back. And I think anyone who has ever loved someone with their guard still up will know exactly what I mean," Lina shared.
