Do you remember those teenage days where we every crush felt like the one and if something didn't work out it felt like the world is about to end? The times where everything felt important and not important at the same time. The carelessness of those days something I always find romantic (for the lack of a better word) and that's how LOVER's new single "Spiders" feel.

A beautiful blend of indie r&b and pop music, the song was co-written with one of his mates Maxwell Byrne, aka Golden Vessel, while he was on a trip to Sydney recently, and the inspiration for the song itself actually dates back a few thousand years…

This track was born out of a writing session at my house in Sydney with Max (Golden Vessel). As we were cycling through a bunch of different ideas Max brought with him, he started playing these particular piano chords which I really resonated with, and within minutes I found the melody floating around inside my head.

The night before this session I had stumbled across this story from Greek Mythology; “humans were originally created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves”

If you dig acts like Joji, Dominic Fike or Brockhampton and sprinkle some Frank Ocean vibes, then you will love this.
