I kinda heard something about Tei Shi here and there, but never bothered to dig deeper into who she is and what's her story. I fell like after this track it all changed for me.
Luca is one half of Brooklyn-based production duo Yellerkin and he has been working closely with Tei Shi for a while now. Before "Best On" he was kinda in the production shadow of her EP's, but the full glory is here.
"Best On" is smooth and gorgeous. Tei Shi sounds like early Destiny's Child and it is incredible how the lyrics is just two lines, but it all makes so much sense. I fell like this makes the track more intimate, especially topped up by groovy minimalistic production.
The only bad thing about the song is that it's too short. Way too short.
