Today is a blissful day for anyone who loves to indulge in sonic experiences that stem from slow builds and ambient-like structures. Lusine's 10-track Melting Days arrived with nothing but the essence of pure bliss.
The Seattle-based electronic producer has been on my playlists for almost a decade, and while we’ve rarely spotlighted his music on Stereofox, Jeff's work has always held a special place in my collection. His music lives somewhere between dreamy electronica, dub techno, melodic electronica, avant-pop, and ambient - blurring the lines without ever settling into one lane.
His 2013 album, The Waiting Room, is an absolute masterpiece, which should be on your radar.
Released via Ghostly, Melting Days is Lusine's 10th studio album, and there’s still absolutely no sign of him slowing down when it comes to blowing my mind. The ten songs explore loss and transition, wrapped in elemental layers, hypnotic loops, and his signature rhythms. I am still to dive deep into the album, but had a full listen and loved "Apparition", hence that's what we start with today.
