“Off my medication” by US artist Marcel is a dreamy, drifty neo-soul track with indie, r&b elements. The vocals, in particular, stand out to me every time I hear the song. Though not necessarily sentimental in a burdensome way, they strike a sense of uncertainty and ambiguity that can be unsettling in real life but deeply liberating when put into music.

As Marcel perfectly describes this sentiment:

This song is about being afraid to revive bad habits. We all have some habits that make us feel good in the moment but it ends up hurting us or someone else in the future so we get rid of them but they will always be a part of us. This is a very chill song that a person can just vibe to.
