The first half and the second half of this track literally sound like two different songs, and honestly that is the type of cohesiveness I'm usually fascinated by.

At first we're introduced to what sounds like a teenager in her room playing guitar, very DIY and reminiscent of the aesthetic of Bedroom Pop. Though in a matter of seconds it's as if we're transported elsewhere as the production sounds so rich with layers of strings, intricate drum fills, pads in the background… Basically a jump to a studio set up. I found that juxtaposition to be so magical! I also can't neglect to mention her lyrics which play heavily on the imagination by virtue of her descriptiveness.

This is certainly something fans of Snail Mail or Taken by Trees would enjoy.
