It's September 1st, and autumn starts to feel in the air with the crisp mornings and warmer colors.
Our dear Nahokimama is back with the second installment of her Kyōdō series, and the first single is together with an artist we've been loving and following since his debut in 2019. The UK neo-soul guitarist & producer Beau Diako (whom you might remember from his collaborations with Jordan Rakei, Marie Dahlstrom, etc.) joins the Japanese trumpeter for "Afterlight".
It's one of the most delicate pieces you've probably heard, fusing Naho's warm horns and Beau's otherworldly neo-soul guitars with a chill drum groove, subtle basslines & nostalgic strings. Coziness, smoothness, and a touch of melancholy. Just like autumn itself.
