LA-based producer obli served a refreshing house-driven tune, which will certainly brighten up your day.

The new single opens delicately with obli’s wife speaking softly in Norwegian before dropping into sunny feel-good chords. Infused with warm strings, a smooth piano melody and an exceptionally catchy vocal sample, "Hei" is an uplifting and tasteful electronic single. Speaking on the new single the uprising producer said:

I keep coming back to this idea about how music has always been there for me. I really want to make this new music feel more personal than anything I have ever done before. As I was working on this song, I asked my wife who is Norwegian to record a couple of voice memos as personal messages to me. She started the first one with 'hei' which means 'hello' in Norwegian and eventually ended up becoming the title of the song.

Before entering the electronic scene obli used to play in bands his whole life. Now, with this solo project, he has already released three singles and a four-track EP, aiming to build something truly representative of himself and I'm more than curious to check out his next track.
