This is certainly one of my favorite spontaneous discoveries this week. "Thinking About U" is taken from the newest Only Emily EP, Dreamstates, which came out via the London-based label Indigo Soul.
Only Emily is a 25-year-old producer from the UK who finds her inspiration from the likes of MNDSGN, Frank Zappa, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Her gentle slow-burner "Thinking About U" is a mosaic of gorgeous textures thanks to the foley draped around the sonic field. This, alongside the atmospheric allure of the track, makes for quite a calming and lush listening experience. The hazy vocals give "Thinking About U" a rather eerie yet comforting feel, especially when the strings slip into the mix.
